Hot Steak Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 500g steak (ribeye, sirloin, or your choice)

  • 3 tablespoons of your hot choice of O’Mimo’s Not So Hot Sauce

    ( Or Apple Chilli Sage Jam or Head Exploader Hot Sauce)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

  • Fresh arugula

  • Cheese Slices ( Optional )

  • Soft sandwich rolls

Instructions:

  1. Season steak with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Let it sit for 30 minutes at room temperature.

  2. Preheat grill to high heat.

  3. Grill steak for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes, then thinly slice.

  4. While the steak is resting, sauté red onion and bell pepper in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add balsamic vinegar and cook until caramelized.

  5. Toast sandwich rolls on the grill.

  6. Spread O’Mimo’s Not So Hot Sauce, Head Exploader Hot Sauce or Apple Chili sage Jam on the rolls.

  7. Add sliced steak, caramelized onions, bell peppers, cheese slices if desired, and fresh arugula. Serve hot!
